Silk is a natural fibre whereas satin is a weave. Satin is much cheaper than silk because it can be made using plastic, oil, polyester and other materials. A PM 2.5 filter is a made of five layers and can be inserted into the inner pocket of our silk masks to increase their filtering performance. Although our mask with a PM 2.5 filter contains 7 layers for protection, it should not be confused with a medical mask or a n95 mask. For proper PPE guidelines, please consult your local health professionals.

How often should I change the PM 2.5 filter?

The frequency of changing the filter largely depend on how often you wear it. However, we recommend changing the filter after 8-12 hours of use.
